Steam for Linux

After the announcement of Football Manager 2014 coming to Linux, the first signs of the the upcoming Linux versions of Garry's Mod and Painkiller Hell & Damnation appeared in the Steam database.

Recently, the Humble Indie Bundle 8 has been released, which now contains 11 exciting games for Linux. As always, some of the game titles are making a Linux debut and can either be downloaded directly from the HIB website or be redeemed in the Ubuntu Software Center and on Steam.

Valve has released the results of the hardware and software survey of May. As part of this monthly survey, Steam users are being asked what CPU, graphics card or operating system they are using.

Over a year ago, Sports Interactive has informed me that due to small number of users they have no plans to release Football Manager for Linux.

Nearly one year ago, I reported about a campaign on the online game sale platform GOG.com, which is requesting Linux game support. Although now, over 10000 users seconded the request, there are still no signs of Linux support on the platform so far. Recently one of our readers has brought other Linux petitions to our attention.
