C4 Engine is not supported on Linux anymore

Recently, the version 4.2 of the C4 Engine has been published.

Unfortunately, one of the biggest changes is the lack of Linux support due to problems with this operating system.

According to the engine developer Eric Lengyel, the company would “waste” too much time, trying to find a solution to these problems, which could have been spent on other projects.

The earlier versions of the C4 Engine are still being supported on Linux and can be downloaded on the website of the company. In the future, when SteamOS is released, the newer version of the C4 engine might get a SteamOS support.
